Finding the Right Consultant

Depending on the size and scope of your project, there are many ways to find a consultant, including:

A.  Contacting a capacity building intermediary organization near you:

B.  Calling your colleagues and asking them for referrals

C.  Contacting your Foundation program officers and asking them, especially your local community foundations

D.  Look into a few of the larger, nationally reputable consulting firms, focused on nonprofit capacity-building and evaluation, such as:

E.  Research locally-based consultants; chances are you will hear about them from your colleagues, community foundations and other consultants

F.  Alliance for Nonprofit Management membership directory
